How we collect, use and look after your personal information when you contact us or leave a review.

Who we are

This website is run by Pebble Dash Repair, a pebble dash repair business working across South and West Wales. We are the controller of the personal information described in this notice. If you have any questions about it, please contact us by phone on 07565 147 170 or through our contact form.

What information we collect

Enquiry form. When you send an enquiry we collect your name, phone number, any email address you choose to give, your town or postcode, details of the work you are asking about and any photos you attach.

Review form. If you leave a review we collect your name, your town, your rating and your comments. Your name (or the version of it you give) and town may be shown with your review on the website.

Phone calls. If you call us we may note your name, number, address and details of the job so we can arrange a visit and quote.

Why we use it and our legal basis

  • To respond to your enquiry, visit your property and prepare a quote. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To carry out and manage work you have agreed to. Our legal basis is performance of a contract.
  • To publish reviews you submit. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To keep records needed for tax and accounting. Our legal basis is legal obligation.

We do not use your information for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we do not sell it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are normally deleted within 12 months. Records of jobs we carry out, including invoices, are kept for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes, usually six years. Published reviews remain on the site until you ask us to remove them or we stop displaying them.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies by default. An essential session cookie is used only when the site owner logs in to the administration area, so that the login works securely. It is not used to track visitors.

Sharing your information

We only share your information where necessary: with companies that host and maintain this website, with suppliers or subcontractors such as scaffolders when they need details to carry out part of your job, with our accountant, or where the law requires it. We expect anyone we share with to look after your information properly.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability in some circumstances, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us by phone or the contact form.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection.
